JOB PURPOSE:
To set, program and operate machining centres on small to medium batch precision components, machining precision parts to customer specifications and within ISO9001:2015 quality standards.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
§ Machining low quantities of precision components – various metals. § Producing components from present order book using existing programs, tooling and fixtures. § Program and engineer from scratch, new components using primarily online programming processes. § Ensure all first off components are to an acceptable standard. § Ensure all production components are to an acceptable standard adjusting the machine and using in process inspection where required. § Knowledge of Mazatrol. Siemens & Fanuc would be an advantage, set, operate and programme. § Liaising with Inspection Department to ensure that products produced are to the specifications required. § Ability to resolve queries and problems to best of knowledge before escalating up to next level. Ensure minimum occurrence of errors and provide workable solutions. § Responsible for adhering to health and safety rules and procedures. § Conducting assigned tasks in a controlled and safe manner, paying respect to colleagues and equipment. § Present a positive attitude at all times and an adaptable approach to problems. § Possible travel within the UK. § Selecting the appropriate tooling for the job. § Liaising with machine shop to ensure that products produced are to the specifications required. § Ability to run multiple machining centres when required. § Perform in process inspection operations.
