Quality assurance and monitoring is built into every aspect of our work. We are ISO 9001-2008 certified and our quality management system incorporates full material batch traceability. We can also provide quality plans, ISIRs, process capability studies and other inspection documentation.

Moulding Materials

Plastics are a lightweight, colourful, corrosion resistant and durable material to use for manufacture. Plastics are versatile too; depending on the application they can be a low cost commodity product or a high-performance engineering material.

There is a dizzying variety of plastic polymers and additives available, depending on the design criteria of your product. Advances in plastic materials and additives mean that increasingly plastic moulded components are replacing metal components in engineering applications. Standard materials such as polystyrene, polypropylene, nylon, PVC and polyethylene can be supplied reinforced with various materials and additives to modify their material properties.

We have a detailed knowledge of plastic polymers and specialist materials and can advise on which would work best for your particular application. We can also process specialist high performance injection moulding materials such as chemical resistant plastics, flame retardant plastics, medical grade plastics, antibacterial plastics, hi-flex plastics, and high rigidity and high strength plastics.

Precision Plastic Injection Moulding

Reliability, quality and value for money are the hallmarks of our in house and subcontracting plastic injection moulding service. In addition to a comprehensive tool manufacturing service, Linton Plastic Moulders specialises in supplying moulded components in a wide variety of thermoplastic polymers.

Our professional and technical approach, from a team of experienced and skilled staff, allows us to operate a flexible and versatile, total manufacturing service and to meet our customer’s needs and requirements.

We are well equipped with modern plant and machinery operating with the size range of 22 tonne to 270 tonne machines with a shot weight range of 1000 grams.

We operate a two shift system allowing us 17 hours a day, 85 hours per week but with the flexibility of increasing to 24 hours if required.

Design-Tooling-Prototyping

As injection moulding experts, our experienced tooling & 3D prototyping team provide you with an in-house CAD design facility with full prototyping service. From any 3D dimensional drawing, we can produce the most complex of components – even those with movable parts. Prototypes are produced in a strong ABS plastic which offers greater strength than previous SLA prototyping methods. We can supply small batch runs of new parts to enable you to see how those components perform in situ before committing to production tooling. With 3D Printing, the production of prototypes has become a faster and less expensive option.

Once you have decided on the design of your component, our tool makers can then specify, design and make your tooling. Tooling is supplied at cost price and is always 100% yours — this avoids any part tooling deals designed to restrict your freedom to change supplier.

Throughout the tool-making and prototyping phase, our tool makers and specialist engineers are always on hand to offer help, advice and assist in the development of your custom part, taking care of all your tooling & 3D prototyping needs.
